Scott C. Malpass

Scott C. Malpass is the former Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of the University of Notre Dame, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University’s Mendoza College of Business. Under Malpass’s leadership, the Notre Dame endowment pool grew from $400 million in 1988 to more than $14 billion as of June 30, 2020. Over Malpass’s 32 years of leadership, the Notre Dame Endowment achieved investment performance ranking amongst the very top of endowments globally, transforming opportunities at the University in all aspects of academic and student life. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Vanguard Group, Inc, Paxos Trust Company, LLC, and Catholic Investment Services, Inc. He is also a member of the Board of Superintendence of the Institute for the Works of Religion in Vatican City, commonly referred to as the Vatican Bank. Malpass is a 1984 graduate of Notre Dame and received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University in 1986.
Andrew Charnesky

Andrew Charnesky has extensive experience investing in and advising companies across the technology and consumer sectors. Prior to joining Grafton Street Partners, he was a private equity investor at H.I.G. Capital, a top-performing alternative asset manager, where he was responsible for the due diligence of leading middle-market businesses as well as transaction execution, financing, and post-closing governance. Previously, he was a private equity investor at Bain Capital. Charnesky began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, based in Chicago. He earned a B.A. in Finance and Economics from Notre Dame, summa cum laude, and an M.B.A. with High Distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
Stephen Santrach

Stephen Santrach is a former investment analyst with extensive experience in payments, fintech and business services. As a senior analyst, he was responsible for full sector coverage, conducting bottoms-up company research, financial modeling, portfolio recommendations, and position monitoring. Recently, he was an investor at Tiger Global, a New York-based investment fund, where he focused on fintech and business services investments in both the private and public markets. He previously worked at Viking Global Investors in New York and London, as well as Highfields Capital in Boston. Santrach began his career at Blackstone in the private equity group, where he focused on buyout investments in the financial services, consumer, and business services industries. He graduated with a B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, summa cum laude.
Jim Zenker
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Jim Zenker has years of leadership experience in investment operations and financial services. He was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Avego Management, LLC, a multi-strategy investment firm, where he managed all business operations for the middle and back office of the firm including finance, accounting, investor relations, compliance, audit, and tax. Prior to Avego, he served as Senior Controller at Deerfield Management Company, a leading investment firm where he was involved in all accounting and operations for the firm’s hedge, private equity, and venture capital funds. He previously worked as a financial analyst at ESL Investments Inc. and began his career as a financial consultant at Ernst & Young LLP. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Finance and a M.S. in Accountancy.
Sean O'Brien

Sean O’Brien previously worked as an Analyst at Bain Capital Credit, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund, where he focused on liquid & distressed credit and special situations investments across the capital structure. Previously, he interned with Goldman Sachs, Finepoint Capital, and the Notre Dame Investment Office. He graduated with a B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, magna cum laude.
Ben Shepard

Ben Shepard previously worked as an Associate at Bain Capital Credit, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund, where he focused on liquid & distressed credit investments in the consumer & retail and gaming & lodging sectors. Prior to joining Bain, he interned with Blackstone, I Squared Capital, and the Notre Dame Investment Office. He graduated with a B.A. in Finance and Applied Mathematics and a minor in Studio Art from the University of Notre Dame, magna cum laude.
Molly Walsh

Molly Walsh previously worked as an Associate at Charles River Associates, a leading consulting firm that offers economic, financial, and strategic advice to corporations, law firms, accounting firms, and governments across the globe, where she focused on financial accounting, valuation, and intellectual property consulting. She graduated with a B.A. in Finance and Film, Television, and Theater from the University of Notre Dame, cum laude.
Rachel Bartunek

Rachel Bartunek is an experienced Executive Assistant, previously serving in various administrative roles at Lincoln International and the University of Chicago. Her background includes providing high-level administrative support to senior executives, managing teams, coordinating events, and implementing training programs. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Management from MacMurray College and an M.S. in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University.
